AIMP is a lightweight, but powerful and reliable multimedia player for Windows, which uses minimal system resources to give each user a streamlined ability to playback audio files of all types. This great audio player was originally released in the summer of 2006 to be a fully-featured alternative to much more popular Winamp. Very shortly after its release, worldwide audience started gathering around AIMP, eagerly awaiting new versions that significantly increased its potential and ability to reproduce almost every audio codec that is used today on the web.

List of media codecs and audio standards that AIMP supports is too long for this brief review, but it is important to notice that in addition to spotless playback capability that cover over 30 years of digital audio development, AIMP also provides wide variety of services and tools that will satisfy everyone from ordinary users to seasoned audio professionals that manage large libraries of music.
